"Vol. 4" is the fourth studio album by the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, which was originally released in September 1972. It was the first Black Sabbath album not produced by Rodger Bain; guitarist Tony Iommi took over production. It reached gold status in less than a month and was the band's fourth consecutive release to sell a million copies in the US.

Peppered with classics like "Supernaut", "Changes" and "Snowblind", the record capitalized on the group's rising popularity, reaching the top 10 of the album charts in the UK and the top 20 of the Billboard 200 in the US, on its way to being certified platinum by the RIAA.

"Vol. 4" is Black Sabbath's bold, experimental foray into new sonic territory. With tracks like "Supernaut" and "Snowblind", the album combines heavy riffs with more adventurous, psychedelic textures.
