"The Words Don't Fit The Picture" is Willie Nelson's fourteenth studio album and one of his last for RCA Records. The album was originally released in 1972, not long before he had his big breakthrough with "Shotgun Willie". Nelson wrote or co-wrote all the songs on this album. The album is particularly notable because it contains Nelson's first solo recording of "Good Hearted Woman", a song he had composed with his great friend Waylon Jennings.
