"The Flat Earth" is the second studio album by English new wave and synth-pop musician Thomas Dolby.

It was released on February 10, 1984 and reached number 14 in the British album charts. The first single from the album was ""Hyperactive!"", which reached number 17 in the UK Singles Chart. The album reached number 35 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Even 40 years after its release, the album has lost none of its topicality. The crisp production, brilliant songwriting by Thomas Dolby and a fantastic ensemble of backing musicians make this album a classic of its kind.
