"Stepmom" is a 1998 comedy film directed by Chris Columbus and starring Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Ed Harris and Jena Malone.

The story is about a terminally ill woman who has to deal with her ex-husband's new lover, who will soon be the stepmother of her children. Susan Sarandon was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for her performance.

The music was composed and conducted by the legendary John Williams, who previously worked with Columbus on "Home Alone" and "Home Alone 2". They also worked together on the first two films in the Harry Potter series. Williams received a BMI Film Music Award for the soundtrack of "Stepmom" in 1999.
