"Stain" is Living Colour's third album, which was released in 1993 after the previous albums "Vivid" and "Time's Up". It is the first album with bassist Doug Wimbish (who has worked with Jeff Beck, Madonna and Mick Jagger, among others). "Stain" shows a much heavier and more aggressive Living Color, which contains elements of thrash metal and industrial music.

The album reached number 26 in the Billboard 200. The band broke up in January 1995 after a tour with Bad Brains.
