The British showgaze band SLOWDIVE came together in 1989 with a core of Nick Chaplin (bass), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar), Christian Savill (guitar) and main songwriter Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar).
"Souvlaki" is the second studio album by SLOWDIVE; originally released in 1993. The synthesizer of BRIAN ENO sounds on "Sing", which he co-wrote, and also "Here She Comes".
The name of the album comes from a skit by the Jerky Boys, an American comedy duo that recorded prank calls.
