Roberto Alagna's "Seigneur" is a tribute to faith and to the great cathedral of lyrical art that the tenor regularly helps to build. The recording was made in connection with the successful, still ongoing "Chants sacrés" tour through French churches, whose program combines sacred songs with a selection of French and Italian chansons. With the support of guitarist and arranger Jean-Félix Lalanne and pianist Marek Ruszczyński, Alagna succeeds in creating distinctive interpretations of Bach / Gounod and Schubert's "Ave Maria", as well as Léo Ferré's "Avec le temps" and the Italian folk song "Bella ciao".
