The Dutch rock band Shocking Blue was at the height of its career in the 60s and 70s and enjoyed great success across the Atlantic.
The band was founded in 1967 and is best known for their single "Venus" (which made them the first Dutch band ever to reach number one on the American Billboard Hot 100).
The band went on to have a string of hits and their influence reached far beyond their generation.
