Recovering The Satellites (180g) (33 RPM) (2025 Reissue) [2LP]

"Recovering the Satellites" is the second studio album by American rock band Counting Crows, released in the United States in 1996. Released three years (and two years of worldwide touring) after their debut album, it reached #1 in the United States and was a bestseller in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.

For years, singer Adam Duritz considered this album to be his favorite of the band's albums. Duritz was joined on the album by founding members David Bryson (guitar) and Charlie Gillingham (keyboards), as well as new additions Ben Mize (drums) and Dan Vickrey (guitar). Multi-instrumentalist David Immerglück contributed as a session musician on the album.

Counting Crows brought producer Gil Norton on board for "Recovering the Satellites". The track "Miller's Angels" was produced by Marvin Etzioni. Three singles were released from the album, with "A Long December" being the best chart entry, reaching number 6 in the USA and number 1 in Canada. The album itself reached the top position on the Billboard Hot 200 album charts and was certified double platinum in both the USA and Canada.

The fact that the Counting Crows have been around for over 20 years, more precisely since their foundation in San Francisco in 1991, is often forgotten. Because one of their biggest hits, "Mr. Jones", is still playing up and down the radios today.

The American folk-rock band's second album "Recovering The Satellites", released in 1996, is also making a comeback on vinyl. The album not only became a #1 top seller in the USA, but also celebrated great success in the rest of the world!
