"Never Say Die!" was to be the last studio album by the original Black Sabbath line-up. The recordings were overshadowed by all kinds of complications.

Ozzy Osbourne had already left the band in the meantime, only to make a surprise return to the recording sessions. The studio in Toronto turned out to be the wrong choice, and the use of drugs had caused the band to lose any sense of ease.

The album is considered by critics to be "disjointed", but it should be noted that the public immediately liked the album and it earned Black Sabbath one of the highest chart positions on release. The graphics agency Hipgnosis once again took over the design and created one of the great iconic cover artworks in music history with the motif of the pilots.

On "Never Say Die!", Black Sabbath experimented with new sounds and mixed hard riffs with hard rock and funk influences. A unique chapter in their career with outstanding tracks such as the title track and "Shock Wave". The album is available in a new digi-cover!
