Although he never received much recognition, Bill Barron (1927-1989) was a progressive and progressive and adventurous tenor saxophonist who never compromised in his music Compromises in his music. On every recording of Bill Barron as bandleader, his brother his brother Kenny Barron (16 years his junior) played the piano. Both can be heard on the LP "Modern Windows" from 1961, which consists of two extended suites composed by the saxophonist.
