A musical rediscovery with not only historical weight, but also infinite swing and feeling: as a trumpeter and singer, Louis Armstrong has influenced American jazz and pop music more than any other artist before or since. He traveled to London in the summer of 1968, just a few weeks after knocking the Beatles off the top spot in the British charts with "What A Wonderful World", and recorded a performance full of vitality and infectious joy in the BBC studios. He himself considered this recording to be one of the best of his entire career.
