And the fantastic arrangements and orchestrations provided by none other than Gil Evans for the Brazilian singer have contributed greatly to this. Lightness and melancholy are wonderfully balanced in the repertoire, which consists of Brazilian bossa and samba classics as well as two songs by Frenchman Michel Legrand.
