With the exception of a few later studio tracks, the 1960 European tour was the last recording of a collaboration between jazz giants Miles Davis and John Coltrane. The latter was about to form his own quartet and reluctantly accepted Miles' offer.
All the concerts on this tour are real gems. Presented here is the complete performance from March 24, 1960 at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The group is completed by Wynton Kelly on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums.
