Over the past 50 years, tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton has been one of the most consistent jazz artists, consistently delivering thoughtful and swinging solos with a warm tone.

His live recording from 2004 brought a top-class quartet to jazz club De Tor in Enschede (Netherlands). Accompanied by pianist Rein de Graaf, bassist Marius Beets and drummer Eric Ineke, Scott Hamilton plays six jazz tracks from the set, including "Rhythm Riff", a 12-chord solo that gradually builds up into an exciting piece.
