"The Asylum Albums (1976-1980)" explores Joni Mitchell's jazz-influenced sound on the studio albums of the late 1970s - "Hejira" (1976), "Don Juan's Reckless Daughter" (1977) and "Mingus" (1979) - and the live album "Shadows and Light" (1980). Famed bassist and composer - and longtime Mitchell collaborator - Jaco Pastorius can be heard on each of the four albums in this set, alongside other well-known jazz greats such as Charles Mingus and Herbie Hancock.

"The Asylum Albums (1976-1980)" has been remastered and is presented in high-quality packaging with abstract cover artwork from Mitchell's private art collection.
