Jon Hopkins' new album "Ritual" is a 41-minute epic that is the musical link between his previous albums "Immunity" from 2013 and "Singularity" from 2018 and "Music For Psychedelic Therapy" from 2021. It consists of subs that sound like they're coming out of a cave, hypnotic drumming and transcendent melodies. The tense, haunting and ultimately triumphant work is a culmination of the themes he has explored over his 22-year career and forms the kinetic counterpart to 2021's 'Music For Psychedelic Therapy'.
