Jason Moran: Ten (180g) [2LP]

With "Ten", his eighth album for Blue Note, pianist Jason Moran celebrated the tenth anniversary of his trio The Bandwagon in 2010. The trio, which still plays with the same line-up today, has radically modernized the image of the classic piano trio - similar to The Bad Plus or the Robert Glasper Trio, for example. On "Ten", which is now being released as a double album on vinyl for the first time, The Bandwagon offers originals by Moran as well as unique interpretations of pieces by Thelonious Monk, Jaki Byard and Conlon Nancarrow.
