In Real Time [CD]

Three years after the release of Artemis' critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, the ensemble returns in 2023 with a follow-up album that once again highlights the band members' improvisational strength and their talent as composers.

The follow-up "In Real Time" presents a new line-up of founding members pianist Renee Rosnes, drummer Allison Miller, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen and bassist Noriko Ueda with two new members, tenor saxophonist Nicole Grover and flutist Alexa Tarantino.

The set, consisting of eight tracks, presents convincing originals by the band members as well as cover versions of pieces by Lyle Mays ("Slink") and Wayne Shorter ("Penelope").
