Hallowed Ground [LP]

"Hallowed Ground" is the 1984 follow-up to the Violent Femmes' legendary self-titled debut album. Similar to the first album, all the songs were written by lead singer Gordon Gano when he was still at high school. However, the band's sophomore effort broke new ground and ensured that they didn't rest on their laurels - featuring fan favorites (and live highlights) "Country Death Song," "Jesus Walking on the Water," "I Hear The Rain," "Black Girls" and "Never Tell" Mastered from the original stereo tapes (AAA).

Violent Femmes have released nine studio albums and more than a dozen iconic singles, including classics such as "American Music", "Gone Daddy Gone", "Kiss Off", "Add It Up" and "Blister In The Sun" In a career spanning more than three decades, they have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The album "Violent Femmes" from 1983 was certified platinum by the RIAA eight years after its initial release.
