Some performances are so unique that they go down in rock'n'roll folklore. When Gary Moore took to the stage at the Baloise Session in Basel on November 13, 2008, it was a true event, presenting one of the biggest names in blues rock on one of the world's most prestigious stages. No one in the audience that night suspected that the great Irish bluesman was about to call it quits. But when Moore passed away two years later at the age of just 58, the show took on an added significance that remains vivid in the memories of those in attendance.
15 years later, the release of Live From Baloise Session on Artone/Provogue resurrects the much-missed Irishman, bringing his radiant talent back into the spotlight, capturing the spark of that night and filling out a performance that ranks with Moore's best.
