Italian baritone Nicola Alaimo is one of the leading singers of his generation. In 2021/22 he was heard as Don Magnifico (La Cenerentola) at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Michonnet (Adriana Lecouvreur) at the Vienna State Opera, Dandini (La Cenerentola) in Bologna, Geronio (Il turco in Italia) in Monte Carlo and Taddeo (L’italiana in Algeri) in Zurich. Following his appearances as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival he will be heard as Dandini and Geronio at the Vienna State Opera as part of a series of guest performances by the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.
