"ERA" is presented for the first time on gold-colored vinyl. Inspired by the cantata Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and released in 1996, ERA's first album, driven by the symbolic title "Ameno", enjoyed immediate worldwide success, selling more than 6 million copies and becoming the most exported French album at the time.
The ERA albums include a mix of Gregorian chants, rock, pop, electronic sounds and classical music. For the lyrics, Eric Lévi, the artist behind the "ERA" project, uses an imaginary language that resembles Latin.
Instead of following structures imposed by time or culture, the artist is in search of strong emotions. He then translates these into music in his albums. In addition, Eric Lévi writes most of his songs with the idea of creating soundtracks for epic films. ERA's extraordinary work touches the hearts and souls of millions of people worldwide. ERA's albums have sold millions of copies and have been certified multi-platinum in more than 18 countries.
