Their new studio album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" is Nightwish's first album with singer Floor Jansen. Here, the Finns ponder the meaning of life, evolutionary theories and the individual beauty of all living beings and species. Their extensive musical cosmos sounds heavier, more folk-heavy and, above all, more experimental.

Powerful and balladic pieces alternate with catchy anthems. The highlight is certainly the 24-minute track "The Greatest Show On Earth". The song is based on a book title by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins and deals with nothing other than the development of planet Earth. Measured against the 1.6 billion years that have to be estimated for this, 24 minutes is a well condensed summary.
