Originally released in November 1994, Tina Arena's album Don't Ask has become one of the most popular and acclaimed Australian albums in contemporary music. Propelled by the powerful first single "Chains", the album reignited Tina Arena's career. It spawned six singles in total, with 'Don't Ask' earning Arena ten ARIA Award nominations in 1995 and 1996, five of which she won, including the coveted Album of the Year.

At the time, it was the first album by a female artist to achieve this. in 2015, Arena was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame. To mark its 30th anniversary, the album has now reached 10 times platinum status, platinum in New Zealand and gold in the UK.
