Desafinado [LP]

Born in Juazeiro, Bahia, Brazil, singer/songwriter João Gilberto (1931-2019) was a true legend of bossa nova. While Antônio Carlos Jobim set the standard for the emergence of bossa nova in the mid-1950s (with songs such as "The Girl From Ipanema" and "Desafinado"), it was Gilberto who brilliantly reinterpreted (and arguably defined) the genre.

This LP includes the complete contents of his LP Brazil's Brilliant Joao Gilberto, for which he received a five-star rating on AllMusic, as well as some of his biggest hits from his early years.
