"boy" is the eagerly awaited solo EP from Luke Hemmings, the award-winning lead singer of 5 Seconds of Summer. The EP includes the wonderfully melancholic first single "Shakes".

Internationally renowned and multi-award winning artist Luke Hemmings continues his personal introspection with his new EP "boy". This new work project was produced with his longtime collaborator Sammy Witte (Harry Styles, Maggie Rogers). It marks a new musical era as a solo artist for the 5 Seconds of Summer frontman, who previously released his critically acclaimed personal album "When Facing the Things We Turn Away From" in 2021.

Inspired by bands such as LCD Soundsystem, My Bloody Valentine, The Verve and the Cocteau Twins, Luke proves his innate talent as a songwriter here. He knows how to capture emotions and distil them into music. As lead singer of 5 Seconds of Summer, 27-year-old Luke Hemmings has already sold millions of records, toured the globe, received billions of streams and become one of Australia's most successful musical exports.
