Having previously shone on important Blue Note albums by Jackie McLean, Eric Dolphy and Grant Green, the young vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson was able to present his first own album for the label in 1965 with "Dialogue". With the support of an extremely adventurous sextet, the 24-year-old immediately succeeded in making a groundbreaking album that received the highest rating from both AllMusic and the "Penguin Guide To Jazz".
