Blindness [CD]

After universal acclaim for their first two albums, The Murder Capital are back with 'Blindness', a vividly realized, clear-eyed and ambitious new album. Meaningful and full of momentum, the album is full of geography - of spirit and of a band formed in Dublin, whose members are now scattered across Ireland, London and Europe - yet brimming with intense energy.

The Murder Capital's new songs are enlivened by a broader, richer perspective that comes from the different insights the five members bring to the creative process, and the different worldviews that result from their literally new position in the world. Drummer Diarmuid Brennan lived in Berlin, bassist Gabriel "G" Paschal Blake in Letterkenny, guitarist Cathal "Pump" Roper in Donegal and guitarists Damien "Irv" Tuit and McGovern in London. The album focuses on urgency, energy and freshness - all of which can be found in the songs, which were recorded in L.A. with the help of Grammy winner John Congleton.
