The young Spanish soprano Serena Sáenz has established herself as one of the most versatile artists of her generation in just a few years and has been praised by the media for her "musicality and luminous high notes" (Scherzo).

She is a three-time winner of the Operalia competition in Riga 2022 and regularly performs at the world's most important opera houses.

In 2021, Serena Sáenz won first prize and the audience prize at the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition and was awarded several prizes at both the Paris Opera Competition and the Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona.

On her debut album, soprano Serena Sáenz focuses her song selection on musical arrangements of birdsong in operatic arias and invites the listener on a journey through the centuries, combining the most diverse musical traditions and cultures and transporting them to a world of timeless beauty.

Among the many images that represent nature in music, the song of birds occupies a special place. The nightingale, for example, is often used as the embodiment of longing and the romantic ideal, its song reflecting the deepest human emotions with all their nuances and complexities.
