"Creating art is a constant struggle for me to keep focus; because we live in a time of disruption and disintegration," says Tune-Yards singer Merrill Garbus about her sixth album "Better Dreaming". With a clear stance on anti-fascism, liberation and otherness, the new album presents some of Tune-Yards' catchiest and funkiest pop moments to date - and yes, you can dance to it too.

The songs were written with unusual ease for Garbus and her bandmate and partner Nate Brenner - they simply let the music flow and followed any creative trail that arose. After the isolation of the pandemic and the long break from touring and live shows, the need to be moved by music was stronger than ever. The unique experience of watching a human being grow up also shaped the creative process. Their child, now three years old, can be heard on the song "Limelight" - a song that emerged from moments of dancing together to the music of George Clinton.
