Young Mary Gerard dies from a lethal dose of morphine. The perpetrator, Elinor Carlisle, seems to have been found quickly: She not only had a motive, but also the opportunity to kill Mary. Elinor's doctor, Dr. Lord, asks Hercule Poirot for help. An initially completely obvious case suddenly turns out to be exceedingly tricky - Poirot accepts the challenge. In "Poirot - Morphine" David Suchet slips into his most famous role: that of the master detective Hercule Poirot. Due to popular demand, a German dubbed version has now been commissioned for this episode. This allows Poirot fans to finally enjoy this episode in the German language version.
