Isabelle Adjani is what you might call an icon of French cinema. With her five César awards (an impressive record) in the "Best Actress" category for "Possession", "A Deadly Summer", "Camille Claudel", "La Reine Margot" and "Skirt Day", she has left no doubt about her star status - both in France and internationally. The wait for an album from Isabelle Adjani seemed never-ending.
After her legendary journey with Serge Gainsbourg, which took her from the bottom of the swimming pool (Adjani's own words in her first musical release with French music legend Gainsbourg, Pull Marine) to the heights of stardom, she began working with the most incredible line-up the era had to offer - Benjamin Biolay, Etienne Daho, Gaëtan Roussel, Seal, Simon Le Bon, Christophe, Akhenaton, Daniel Darc, Philippe Pascal, David Sylvian, Youssou N'Dour and Peter Murphy.
This release is the result of 15 years of sessions and meetings where time simply no longer mattered. The new album, produced entirely by Pascal Obispo and co-directed by Pascal Obispo and Cécile de Laurentis, has finally hatched from its chrysalis. Isabelle Adjani is back with her unique album "Bande Originale" (engl.: "Soundtrack"), which will be a major musical event for the festive season in the form of 12 duets.
